Alternative energy ... even small!
The pleasure of creating a garden pond, without using the electricity grid for the water filtering system.

Why waste electricity on powering something that may not necessarily work 24 hours a day? Is it a possible project?
I did this by building a "birdhouse" on the edge of the pond and using a small photovoltaic panel to cover a roof pitch (the one facing south). The photovoltaic panel feeds a small submerged direct current pump. The latter pushes the water towards a "saucer tray" positioned on the edge of the pond and filled with filter material. Once filtered, the water falls back into the pond, spreading a pleasant and relaxing sound effect.
Obviously everything works only with the presence of the sun, but it is sufficient to guarantee the 6 goldfish a clean and sufficiently oxygenated water... without contributing to polluting the world!
